IA is an excellent opportunity for lighting designers and consultants to obtain recognition for themselves and their client for high quality lighting installations. Entries are judged against a set of criteria at the section level and also by a group of judges from around North America. Section results are independant of the International Program. In addition to local recognition, the section judges will provide valuable feedback about your submission and you will have an opportunity to fine-tune your presentation following the close of section judging.

The IES Illumination Awards

The IES Illumination Awards (formerly the International Illumination Design Awards) provides a unique opportunity for public recognition of professionalism, ingenuity, and originality in lighting design based upon the individual merit of each entry judged against specific criteria. The awards are held each year and you can submit your entries online each year in late January - early Febuary. There are several levels of judging with those that qualify receiving final judging during Lightfair.
